Services included:

Dentistry (cleanings, fillings, extractions) for 843 patients;
Vision (free eye exam & 431 new pairs of glasses) for 403 patients;
and Medical (flu shots, EKGs, bone density & hearing screenings, and medical consults) for 505 patients.
The Total Value of Free Care provided by volunteers reached $368,631

 

THANK YOU to local coordinator Joe Sanfilippo (PNP), McGavock High School for use of the building, Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, Remington College and TN State University Schools of Dental Hygiene, and countless other residents of/near Davidson County whose hard work and perseverance helped to make this clinic a success! As always, we are grateful for all of the volunteers (as individuals and with schools) who travelled at their own expense to provide free dental, vision, and medical services to the residents of Davidson County, TN and surrounding areas.

Volunteer Info: Volunteers who plan to provide their professional services must be credentialed prior to the expedition.
Patient info: Be sure to arrive early. Lines can be long and start early in the morning. Doors open at 6:00 AM CST, and patients are seen on a first come, first served basis. Plan to arrive no later than 3:30AM for the best chance of being seen. Be prepared for cold weather and bring snacks. Once registered, be prepared for long waits before being seen by a health care practitioner.
